Free home STI tests

The HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme (SHCPP) is piloting a free home STI testing project in partnership with online STI testing provider, SH:24.

Free home testing is available for the Dublin catchment (counties Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow) and Cork catchment (counties Cork and Kerry) from Monday 28th June 2021 until the end of August. This means that anyone with an address in these counties can order a free STI test to their home. The amount of tests available per day is limited. If follow-up treatment or support is needed, this is provided for free by HSE-funded STI clinics in Dublin and Cork.

More information on the SH:24 home STI testing service and how to order a test is available on sh24.ie

For those who have previously ordered a test, you can still return your sample to get your results.

If you need help with an existing order or wish to discuss your results, you can get in touch with the clinical team by replying to any text message from SH:24. You can also visit sh:24.ie for further support and information.

If you have symptoms or need urgent support, contact your local sexual health service or your GP.
